James advises startups and established businesses on aspects of corporate, commercial and securities law that are critical to emerging and growth companies, including incorporations and reorganizations, commercial agreements, software and IP licensing, purchases and sales of businesses, angel and venture financings, and secured lending.

In addition, James works closely with GreenSky Capital Inc., (a corporate finance advisory firm and exempt market dealer affiliated with OLF) and the GreenSky Accelerator Funds (early-stage venture capital funds), in facilitating private equity and debt financings for early-stage technology companies with high growth potential.

James was called to the bar in 2008, after obtaining his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School and articling with the firm in 2007. His writing has been published in the Comparative Research in Law & Political Economy journal and the CCH Corporate Brief newsletter.
